House of Prayer: Holm of Dalquhairn

Holm of Dalquhairn (House of Prayer)

The Holm of Dalquhaim is a working farm set in the hills of Galloway, geographically almost in the centre of the Diocese of Galloway. It offers an opportunity for peace and quiet and to join in the daily prayer of the House - Morning Prayer and Eucharistic service (Mass if there is a Priest) Rosary, Evening and Night Prayers of the Church, and First Friday Vigils. The Blessed Sacrament is reserved so you are invited to come and take time out with The Lord.

There will be conducted weekends of prayer. Also groups e.g. P.P.C., prayer, pro-life etc families (non Catholic members are welcome to come and join in or not as they wish) and individuals are welcome to come for a quiet stay or for their own organised retreat with a leader of their choice.

We hope that you will be able to join us in prayer for the preparation of what Our Lady calls a new time - a time of spring (Medjugorje, message October '00)

We encourage you to grow in your faith and deepen your experience of Jesus through study of the scripture and the teaching of the church. We hope that sharing in a weekend or weeks retreat will help you to do this and we look forward to welcoming you.
